PeaceHealth also draws specialty medical practitioners to Springfield, along with a large number of service providers.

Wayfair Inc.

Wayfair Inc. may have just what you need, but Springfield, Oregon, had just what the global home furnishing online retailer needed for a new sales and customer service center that opened Fall 2019. Swanson Group

One of today’s most advanced plywood plants on the West Coast is owned and operated by Swanson Group. This mid-Springfield employer proudly manufactures and distributes its top-quality products worldwide. Devastated by fire in 2014, the original Springfield mill site was a complete loss; however, with the help and financial support from the City of Springfield and state of Oregon, Swanson Group chose to remain in Springfield and rebuilt its business even stronger. The company was back in production in just two years.

Franz Family Bakeries

Producing baked goods in the northwestern United States since 1906 and the Eugene-Springfield metro area from the beginning, Franz Family Bakeries was looking for a new location in the early 2000’s. After close partnership with the City of Springfield, Franz opened a new $42 million bakery in 2006, efficiently increasing production capacity 20-25% while providing cost savings, sustainable efficiency, and areas for potential future growth. In 2019, the company underwent a substantial $25 million expansion, adding a new organic breadline and 90 additional jobs to their site. Both investments included a partnership with the City of Springfield to utilize the Springfield Community Enterprise Zone program and the Systems Development Charge Payment Program.

Kingsford Charcoal

A Clorox Company, Kingsford Charcoal has proudly manufactured in Springfield for over 50 years. The company produces 3 billion briquettes annually and supplies 80-90% of Kingsford Briquettes sold west of he Rockies. The Springfield plant employs 86 people and is one of four U.S. and Canadian plants in addition to the company’s headquarter in California.
